I dont know about the ABC poll, but I know that a CBS poll that had the same % had a sampling of republicans of only 25% or so whil the democrats in the poll were over 35% of the sample.

Polls are just the new way for a media organization to run a editorial outside of the editorial page.

Bush won 50+% of the popular vote. Clinton NEVER won the majority of the vote in ether election yet he claimed a mandate. Gart, I assume you would rather have someone like Clinton whos stance on something was based on the poll data rather then what he thinks is right?

Bush's administration has had screw up after screw up this year, no doubt. I'm not going to defend many (most?) of his positions or the comments / actions of his administration.
