Looks like our favorite "statesman" is going to become the UN Ambassador. Congratulation Mr. Bolton. I guess "W" really isn't all that interested in the Advise and Consent of the Congress after all. Let's see how long this lasts.

Krup said that the President is not all that interested in the Advice and Consent of the Congress. [EDIT: See the title of thread: that somehow President Bush is "arrogant" and in "defiance" of the process of Advice and Consent. Tell me, did the Democrats whine this much when President Clinton made 140 such appointments?]
"Advice and Consent" is a phrase from Article 2, Section 2 of the US Constitution.
The argument being that President Bush is side-stepping the requirement of Advice and Consent by making a recess appointment.
He did no such thing. And I don't recall any of the left-wing fringe complaining about the 140 recess appointments made by former President Clinton? Is Krup as incensed at that? Is he 140x incensed at that?
The smart money's on "no."
It's fun explaining the Constitution to people who don't read it!
